Cyber Security

Event Over

With the proliferation of potentially hundreds of millions, or even billions of smart, connected devices from smart meters, appliances, sensors, and user interfaces, there is serious concern for cyber security breaches either through accidental or wilful intent. While much of Smart Grid’s infrastructure will be based on mature information technologies, products and practices, the pure scale and potentially ubiquitous nature of these devices, and the potential harm a breach can cause, the Smart Grid has to be extremely robust and secure.

Throughout GridWeek, cyber security experts will discuss this critical topic in the context of the broader discussions of the structured agenda. This topic will be covered from a global perspective of the International Summit by understanding the cyber landscape of future societies and systems and the solution sets that should be considered. Most importantly, these experts will explore how current deployments are taking cyber security into account.
