Chris Villarreal is a Senior Regulatory Analyst in the Policy and Planning Division at the California Public Utilities Commission. Since 2008, he has been actively involved in the CPUC's Smart Grid proceeding, including cyber-security and privacy issues. He has been involved as part of Commission staff on a number of issues including demand response, dynamic pricing, energy storage and Smart Grid. Prior to joining the Commission, he was an Paralegal in Washington, D.C., primarily focused on energy matters before FERC. He has a BA in History from Baylor University.
