EPACT 1252 Status Report and Scorecard
This session will feature members of the demand response community from around the country talking about what is happening in their area and what might be happening in the future. The session will also feature two special topics. One is the emergence of legislation on Capitol Hill that could impact demand response- key staff attorneys from both the Senate and House Energy Committees will be discussing that with attendees. The other topic is the impact of the last federal legislation, EPACT, which included a number of demand response provisions, most notably the requirement that each state investigate demand response and advanced metering. Attendees will be briefed on what the states have done in response to this requirement.

Roundtable 2
With climate change and other environmental policy developments rising, and as drivers for energy policy and energy industry change, it is important to explore how demand response relates to environmental policy and practice, both on its own and through its relationship to energy efficiency and renewable energy. This session will focus on this important new theme for demand response and feature experts from outside the demand respose community to discuss their views with attendees. The latest research on the intertwinement of these areas will be presented.

Roundtable 5
As demand response evolves, and discussion turns to how to guide that evolution in a way that supports rapid sustainable growth of demand response, the talk is often of how to take steps now in a number of areas, ranging from data collection and standardization to measurement and verification. The oft-heard goal stated as part of these discussions is to provide a common foundational framework that will allow DR to grow in a systematic, organized manner. This session will delve into these issues and what can and should be done to address them.
