The Future of Electricity
Thursday Plenaries at GridWeek 2007
Thursday Apr/26/2007
14:00 - 15:00
The electricity grid is continuously challenged to live up to 21st century standards of reliability, efficiency, and security. Fortunately, significant new technologies are materializing that address these challenges. From hydrogen power to hybrid, new ways of generating sustainable power, as well as distributing and storing electricity more efficiently, are emerging at a rapid pace. In this session, GridWeek participants will hear about how these new paradigms are likely to impact the grid, and how their evolution needs to be considered as the grid modernization story unfolds.
