As the technology and demand for a modern grid unfolds, utilities, governments, technology and service providers, and other stakeholders will need to uncover the fundamental value proposition of this new system. The range of benefits includes: environmental, reliability, market, power system efficiencies, consumer services, security of power supply for the U.S. economy, and other broad societal benefits to be gained by all. This session will address the critical need to identify, quantify and effectively communicate the benefits of a modern grid in a number of these key areas.
