During the past years, many groups and companies have implemented aspects of a smart grid, from smart metering applications to innovative demand management products and systems, to experiments in pricing models. To bring these stories to light, GridWeek will host the Utility Executive session highlighting smart grid success stories. The purpose of this panel is to showcase utilities perspective on smart grid vision, as well as drivers and obstacles in implementation, learn from the experiences and bring to the audience the sense of the possible.

The panel will take place in the afternoon of Wednesday, April 25, 2007 with participation from leaders of major U.S. utilities. This session will be followed by a policy/ regulatory panel that will address, among other topics, some of the factors that drive and create an environment for successful grid modernization.
