Panelists in the session entitled “Charting Progress Toward a Modern Grid” will describe their individual perspectives on plans and progress to modernize the nation’s electricity grid. Panelists will discuss their sense of the performance attributes of a modern grid contrasted with today’s grid; approaches to achieve the vision of the modern grid; estimates of capital requirements and timeframe; recommended near-term actions to accelerate modernization of the grid; motivation to modernize the grid; any plans to invest in modernizing the grid ; and any progress achieved in modernizing the grid.
